9 Reasons You Are A 'Half-Baked' Graduate

Hi guys, I am very sure you’re checking-in my dairy because this topic caught your attention, right?  Well, permit me to congratulate you for your academic success and to as well ask you
how labour market has being? I’m guessing you probably feel it is necessary to be very sure you are not one of those fellows roaming the streets of Nigeria with the anthem “I’m a graduate without gainful employment”! May I ask you this, what do you think the society expect of you for your claim? Hey!, don’t feel insulted yet, why not see for yourself reasons you should be tag a half-baked graduate.

1.       Curriculum vitae
Am very sure this should be about the second most important document you parade in your portfolio. But is your CV capable of selling you and who you claim to be? If your CV is to be read with one million others, can you beat your chest that yours will be eventually picked aside luck? Even with your grade and age advantages, have you ever imagine why your CV keeps getting to the LAWMAN’s trash-bin even when you actually submitted it to CHEVRON? If you don’t invest an ample time to see the best trend of resume writing and make the reflection in yours, am sorry, you are not done for real world; hence half-baked! 2.       Business plan
Did I just hear you say “this is not qualified to be amongst the criteria to judge”? Common! I like to put it to you that a graduate with a degree certificate, CV but without a business plan is a typical example of that which lack entrepreneurial skill. Remember you were sent to school to be independent and not to forever depend on employers. If your parents are millionaires and they’ve never for once propose to loan you a million naira for a business idea of your choice, am sorry,  you are a half-baked graduate to them because they’ve never seen or you have failed to show them any theoretical capacity (i.e. business plan) that you can practically turn a kobo to Naira. 3.       Identification
Have you ever being to an environment and was asked to present means of identification and you were like “I don’t have any of these”? Listen, I now authorize you to go back there and tell them “but am a graduate”-LOL! Am marvelled here, but how can a graduate of a twenty-first century take the issue of personal identification lightly? Do you know that not being able to officially present your identity for sighting when demanded defines you as irresponsible? “Am a graduate” will not tell a police that you are not a rogue! I need to know the college you graduated from if you claim to be a graduate but do not know how to drive! Are you a member of a professional organisation in your field of study or related extensions? How many other certifications have you added to your portfolio since your graduation from college? I know you have a good grade but can you prove to me that you have practically consolidated your knowledge with evidence of professional certification(s)? 7.       Investment plan
I know you are good at saving for rainy days but do you believe in diversifying funds to earn more-than allowing such funds to lay fallow in your bank account for that ignorable and almost useless bank interest accrue on it? A graduate indeed, most often, will look forward to business ventures with investment opportunities for the sake diversification.

8.       Reflection and relaxation
How do you renew your mind? Where and how often do you do that?  Where do you visit for picnic, relaxation and reflection? Am sure you ought to know that as a graduate, exposure to real life is part of your lifelong experience. If your last time you took time out was last year then you are nothing but half-baked! 9.       Technological know-how
What brand of phone do you use and what utility app do you have installed on it? Am sure you are informed that the internet is used for diverse purposes; but what exactly do you use it for other than social media reasons? You claim to have computer proficiency, but yet, you don’t know how many packages are in the Microsoft office suite not to talk of working on it.
