Adekunle Ajasin University Under Lock And Keys Indefinitely

Information just coming in has revealed that the distinguish state owned university situated in the heart of Akoko kingdom has already been directed by its vice chancellor on behalf of the senate to be shutdown indefinitely. This is a development as the result of 
the on-going protest of the students’ of the said university in solidarity of their beloved associate who gave-up-the-ghost consequently to a fatal commercial motor cycle accident on Friday 8, April, 2016 within the township of the school.

This fateful incidence, according to the report, led to a protest within and outside the school premises as the students’ faced the indigenes in an intended peaceful solidarity ‘town cry’ not until things went haywire leading to some pockets of aggression from retaliating indigenes. As at the time of filling this report in my diary, gossips have made a claim of three of the students’ laying in their cold blood with several properties within and outside the premises worth undisclosed amount vandalized.

This is somewhat a bad omen for the academic calendar of the institution which is currently at the semester examination phase. This development hence will translate to total halt of activities and indefinite pause of the school’s academic calendar; leaving the entire student community with no option than to comply with the management  instruction to evacuate the school premises and its properties especially the halls of residence (both male and female) for some obvious security reasons.

Although it has been reported that the management has consented to the awareness of this uprising and has assured the students’ of swift action as regards investigating the constraints to the peace of the school and its environs, it is obvious that the lockup embargo may not by anytime soon be lifted.

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko located in the prominent Ondo state is one of the state owned universities in Nigeria with class. This phrase is validated by the influx of applicants who are expected to be writing its post-utme screening examination for the 2016/2017 academic session which is speculated to be coming-up in few weeks’ time not until this dilemma.
